Unit 3 Photography

For my unit 3 photography I want to use this blog to post my ideas and get them out there. My ideas so far are yet to be posted so I'll get them up asap.
I have one portrait photograph to show what sort of photographs I take. This was just a practice photograph with a film camera.

My work

My photography project is focusing on the positive side of family issues. At first, I had been looking into family items, and what items meant most to a family- and what they would take away with them in different situations. From this came the idea of how families are together- whether they get on or not. However I felt that there are already a lot of artists and photographers that focus on the negative sides of families. So I took inspiration from my family, because my family are very close and together.
So to experiment I took a video of when my dad was leaving to go to work, because he works away five days a week- and we all miss him. So I took this video intending for people to see how close we are and how much it hurts us to say good bye every week. This video is still being edited but will be ready soon.
My next idea will be to show the way of "invasion" in a family, and try to relate it to my theme as much as possible.
